PROGRAM PREREQUISITE: Attendance at an SBA 8(a)informational seminar.
This workshop is designed for established 8(a) eligible businesses. This program provides an overview of the 8(a) program with a detailed checklist, and examples and exhibits necessary for successful completion of an 8(a) application.
The 8(a)program is part of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s efforts to promote equal access for socially and economically disadvantaged individuals including African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, subcontinent Asian Americans, and women business owners. Companies with an 8(a)certification can benefit from the wide-range of services offered including government contracting opportunities, access to capital, management and technical assistance, and much more.
